Secret Santa over WhatsApp
Type the names in the group, press "Draw names" and you get one link per person with a button to send it on WhatsApp. Everyone opens theirs and only sees who they give to.
Why not just draw in the group chat
If the draw happens in the group chat, someone ends up seeing the results or everyone has to trust the organiser. With one private link per person, each result is only seen by that person.
Nobody has to install anything or sign up: the link opens in the phone browser.
How to send the links
After the draw you will see the list of participants with a WhatsApp button next to each name. Tapping it opens WhatsApp with the message ready; just pick that person's chat.
Send each link privately, not to the group: whoever opens a link sees that person's envelope.
And for the group, the event link
You can send the public event link to the group: it shows the budget, the date and how many have opened their envelope, without revealing anything about the draw.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need everyone's phone number?
No. You choose who gets each link from your own WhatsApp; we never ask for or store phone numbers.
What if I send a link to the wrong person?
They would see someone else's envelope. If it happens, the simplest fix is to draw again: create a new one and resend the links.
